Vacuum Barrier Corporation announces Boyd W. Bowdish III as the West Coast Applications Engineer
 
 

WOBURN, MA – January 2004 – Vacuum Barrier Corporation welcomes the addition of Boyd Bowdish as an Applications Engineer.  Mr. Bowdish will be involved in the sale of Vacuum Barrier's complete line products, as well as, serving as the primary technical individual for Vacuum Barrier's West Coast sales effort.

Mr. Bowdish has worked with cryogenic and vacuum system equipment for twenty years at various academic and industrial facilities.  Mr. Bowdish has had the pleasure to work with the largest beverage bottlers, major wineries and a variety of co-packers focusing on innovative new packaging processes. His experience has been varied and diverse,  working with cryogenic transfer and liquid handling products for the last five years, as a Sr. Product Manager and Sr. Staff Engineering Manager. 

Mr. Bowdish's Semiconductor experience has included duties as the coordinator of the large scale MBE facility at the University of Illinois, as an equipment engineer at semiconductor manufacturing companies such as Seagate, Intel, Applied Materials and several vacuum industry related components companies. 

Mr. Bowdish earned his BSEE degree from University of Minnesota, and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Illinois.  Mr. Bowdish has been a contributor to the American Vacuum Society, has been an industrial educator focusing on vacuum technology, mass spectrometry, contamination control and macro-system evaluation.
